Ready To Race? ZED RUN Monthly Maiden Kicks Off July 15!

The Maiden tournament is back this Monday, July 15 (12:00 AM UTC), and it's shaping up to be an epic three-day event. Witness the potential of you >21 racehorses as they chase the glory of a win, and a share of the 40,000 USD prize pool. Here's everything you need to know:

• Dates:  July 15 (midnight UTC) - July 17 (11:59 PM UTC)
• Free Entry: 6-gate races with qualifiers for horses under 21 races
• Premier Scoring 
• Sum of your best six races, a minimum of one
• 1400m, 2000m, 2600m
• Prize pool: 40,000 USD
• Top 3 Payouts

Season 2 Gallops In With Boosted Prize Pools And A New Format!

‍

Season 2 is almost here, and we're happy to announce that we're juicing the prize pool for both the season and the Maiden as a special promotion! We'll be monitoring the engagement and looking at ways to optimise Seasons and Maidens going forward to promote sustainability. Here are the total prize pools:

Maiden: 40,000 USD
Season 2: 40,000 USD

‍

This season will follow the natural progression of Maiden into <100 race tournaments, then into <250 race tournaments, with some Open events thrown in (with a focus on Sit and Go's this season). However, in a change from previous seasons, we're doing away with Grand Finals in order to commit bigger prize pools to the individual tournaments, and better promote engagement within those events.

‍

In place of the Grand Finals, our good friends at ZEDGE will be providing an overall leaderboard, which will consider the Maiden, <100 and <250 tournaments across all classes. The top five horses at the end of the season, regardless of class, based on cumulative points (points across multiple funnels within the same tournament will count), will earn $400 USD of ZED Tokens each.
