Metaverse Cup Is Underway
The ZED RUN Metaverse Cup is well and truly underway! Are you competing with your teammates for the team challenges, or are you going at it alone and racing for the individual awards?
We're now at the halfway point of the Group Stage challenges and, at the time of writing, Team Serbia have taken the lead for Most Podium finishes and Most 4th Place finishes! Note that one team cannot win the prize pool for both, so even if the same team ends up at the top of both tables, the prize for Most 4th Place finishes will go to the team that finishes 2nd.
With the Knockout Stage starting next weekend, there's still everything to play for. Remember, only the 16 teams that advance in real life, will be eligible to compete — do you think your team's country has what it takes?
If you haven't already, join our Discord so you can meet your teammates and strategise for the team challenges.
Vote ZED RUN for Game of the Year
Run by Decrypt Studios, the Crypties are the crypto industry’s premier international annual awards initiative honouring excellence in the blockchain ecosystem.
The inaugural Crypties Awards Gala takes place this Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Art Basel Miami and ZED RUN has been nominated for Game of The Year!
Voting is simple, sign up for an Ethermail account to receive your 2022 Crypties voting token and VOTE.
NB: Only wallets with a transaction history will be eligible to vote.
Lucky Maiden 9
Have you bred the next champion? Lucky Maiden 9 is kicking off this Sunday, November 27 at 7:00 PM EST alongside our biweekly Maiden Tournament.
You have from the start of ZED RUN Maiden Tournament until Thursday December 1 at 6:59 PM EST to run 20 races, get a top score and get in the top 12 of as many category types as possible. Stables will race to strive for a top score on the zombie leaderboard.
The top 12s will then go into the Grand Finals on Friday night, 2 December EST, and run five races across 2600, 2200, 1800, 1400, 1000. The best score wins, the top 3 get prizes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 60/30/10.
Unraced racehorses only. Your first 20 races count, so be strategic and choose wisely. Twelve racehorse frees and paids count in Griffin, Discovery or any class. Six racehorse, conditional, and tourney races don't count.

Sprocket’s Rocket To Success
Despite a seemingly quiet presence on social media, Sprocket’s Big Stable (run by Geebs, TheHatGuys, and Tonysprocket) has managed to navigate the turbulent waters of paid racing and fiercely competitive tournaments this year behind the scenes. After having recently crossed the 26.5 ETH racing profit mark, we thought it’d be fitting to ask them a few questions to see how it’s done!

Core Gameplay Updates
The ZED RUN Guide pages for the incoming new racing system are here, and it’s time to get fired up for the improvements! Providing more details about important new mechanics like XP, Evo, and Levels, we thought we'd touch on them here.
Levels for all raced racehorses will be revealed upon the launch of the improved racing system. Unraced racehorses will need to race a Griffin before Level reveal. By racing, racehorses will gain XP, which will allow them to Level Up. Going down in Level is impossible; going up in Level makes a racehorse’s average speed progressively better.
Each class has a “level cap,” at which point a racehorse owner can choose to advance to the next class or not. Eventually, racehorses in better classes will be able to earn more rewards.
Evo is based on the breed type of a racehorse, and has a range from 1-6. Evo determines the Max Level a racehorse can reach, after which it will not earn any more XP. While Levels are related to racehorse statistics, Evo has no bearing on performance or stats; it simply indicates the level ceiling for a racehorse. Genesis horses are guaranteed to have Evo 6 and be able to level up to the highest level.
That's a very brief summary of what's to come. We don't know about you, but we've never been more bullish about ZED RUN! For more info, head to The Guide.
