Ask any longtime stable owner and they’ll emphatically agree – ZED RUN is most definitely a game of skill. And as with most skills, there is a learning curve involved before you’re able to master the craft.
In a recent Twitter thread that caught the attention of many – including that of the ZED RUN Co-Founder, Chris Laurent – newcomer Six Shot Stables outlined his first-month learnings, all beginning with a $50 budget.
“I’ve been blown away by the response to my posts,” Six Shot Stables says. “I never thought so many people would react so positively to my thoughts, and Chris' [Laurent] comment was great highlight.”
“Knowing the ZED RUN team is watching, listening, and reading at every level is so encouraging.”
After watching ZED RUN from afar for some time, the newly implemented option to create a stable with Torus Wallet – a login in option that only required his Twitter credentials – made him ready to take the leap into the game, his first venture into NFTs.
“The Twitter login was really easy to use. Just a few clicks and the stable was ready,” Six Shot says. “I have a digital wallet now, but I may not have ever taken the steps required to sign-up in the first place if not for that [Torus] option.”
With a beginning budget of $50, Six Shot says his initial strategy was finding the cheapest racehorses he could find, then breeding them. After some trial-and-error, he says he now wishes he committed his entire nest egg on one better racehorse, then progressed to breeding from there.
Six Shot says while his initial missteps may have spelled the end in other NFT projects, he received message after message from the ZED RUN community, providing everything from tips and encouragement, to free racehorses to jumpstart his stable revival.
“There are so many in the community that were very supportive and generous. I received a ton of information and helpful tips from @shadylanezedge , @prospect_hodl , @sangudostables,” Six Shot says.
“So many came forward with free horses it was incredible. I went from a one racehorse stable to 10 racehorse stable overnight thanks to stables such as @ecszed , @bricevarbel, and @appsbabe.”
With a stable full of racehorses, more knowledge, and a grasp of how to utilise community tools such as KnowYourHorses, ZLead, ZEDRacerDotCom to gain an edge on the racetracks, Six Shot says he’s now ready to take the next steps in becoming a dominant force in the game.
While he initially veered towards the ‘play’ side of the ZED RUN play-and-earn experience, he’s reassessing what's possible thanks to the support of his fellow ZED Headz.
“I feel I have a better understanding of the game at this point, and I’ve received a lot of advice about how to find proven racers and solid breeders,” Six Shot Says.
“I originally came to ZED RUN for the fun and thrill, but what I’ve found is a thriving, passionate community that really made me think about what my goal was in the game.”
Wherever his stable goes from here, Six Shot says he’s found a home at ZED RUN.

Wherever his stable goes from here, Six Shot says he’s found a home at ZED RUN, and is looking forward to more segmentation in the game – like Conditional races – that further create opportunities for smaller stables and beginners like himself.”
“ZED RUN is a moving, growing, breathing thing with a tremendous amount of potential,” Six Shot says.
”Coupled that with the fact that you have the capability to earn rewards – I believe ZED RUN will eventually be commonplace everywhere.”
