Overview
On March 3, 2025, ZED Token will officially migrate to the BASE network. With ZED RUN sunsetting and the final Legacy Leaderboard snapshot on February 28, here’s everything you need to know about the move:
Bridging
Transitioning your $ZED Token from Polygon to BASE requires a 1:1 bridge, which we will provide through UI on the new site (zedchampions.com). Once bridged, polygon-based tokens will be locked, with new tokens initialised on Base. This process is done utilizing CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) from Chainlink.
Here’s how it works:
- Choose your destination wallet by entering the email associated with your account on zedchampions.com (or create one if you have not already)
- Sign an approval transaction to authorise the bridge
- Sign a bridge transaction to finalise the transfer.
This is a 1:1 transfer. Virtually Human Studio will cover the gas for both transactions. We’ll also provide a link so you can track your bridging progress, which may take up to 20 minutes. With clear guidance at every step the process will help players integrate smoothly into ZED Champions.
Availability
ZED Token will be available on BASE through Uniswap and soon through our partners at Crypto.com. For most ZED RUN players, swapping for new ZED Token through Uniswap using ETH on BASE will be the preferred approach.
During the migration, we recognize that liquidity on Polygon may be lower than usual. However, a substantial new pool will be initialized on both sides of the liquidity pair ($ETH on BASE and $ZED on BASE) on Uniswap.
For those waiting to transact following the sunset of ZED RUN, we believe migrating to BASE offers more dependability. We will be adding 5% on top of all $ZED Token migrated to BASE before the official launch of ZED Champions.
Player Rewards
The transition to BASE, along with more available liquidity on Uniswap, allows for the conversion of the ZED RUN Player Rewards Treasury into $ZED Token for use within ZED Champions.
Once on BASE, our goal is to swap the remaining Polygon wrapped ETH in exchange for $ZED Token from the circulating supply. Once complete, we will share the transaction details with the community.
