As we approach the next chapter in digital horse racing, we must first celebrate a remarkable one. On February 28, 2025 ET ZED RUN will officially sunset, marking the end of an incredible era filled with innovation, competition, and a vibrant community that made this journey unforgettable. We have crafted a plan to honour ZED RUN’s legacy and set the stage to run the future with ZED Champions.
Prepare to supercharge your horses with XP multipliers, climb the ranks, earn engagement points, and compete against the finest in the game.
Starting next week, this series of week-long seasons will give everyone the chance to level up their game culminating with the Sunset Stakes. One final tournament that will bring the best horses together for one final showdown before we step into a new era with ZED Champions.
Week-Long Seasons
The schedule will include weekly Maidens, with both paid and free tournaments featuring significantly boosted XP multipliers for their finals. Tournament details will be announced each week, and prize pools will be based on fee generation from the previous week.
We’re also introducing ‘The Leveller’ Sit & Go races, which will offer large XP multipliers designed to help horses quickly rise through the ranks within their respective classes. The aim is to get as many horses as possible to level 700 before the Sunset Stakes event, a major Open Class 1 event.

- February 3 – February 9: Season 16 (C1-C4 Maidens)

Sunset Stakes + $100,000 $ZED Token prize pool
The Sunset Stakes will feature a $100,000 ZED Token prize pool and will take place over three days in Class 1 in the form of a big Open Tournament. Full details and finals race distances will be revealed close to the event.
Transition and Claiming Rewards
The sunset of ZED RUN and the launch of ZED Champions is connected, but it's not going to be lockstep. When ZED RUN sunsets, the zed.run site will become the place to claim your rewards. The claim site will be open for just over a month, giving stable owners plenty of time to claim, trade, buy, or sell their reward badges. Once the claim site closes, ZED Champions will launch, and race/breeding horses will be airdropped to the owners of the reward badges.
We want to make sure you’ve got plenty to do during the transition. While you're claiming rewards, you’ll be able to jump into the ZED Champions open beta and race with a testnet stable while competing for real rewards. When we launch, you’ll be ready to hit the track running. This is just the beginning, and we’re not stopping here - user testing on our mobile app ZED Picks is starting soon.
