Season Zero

‍

The heats are over, the wildcards and grand final qualifiers are decided, and now it’s time to decide our champions!

‍

We’re currently working to make sure all of the correct racehorses are in all the correct places before the races begin. Remember, the finals consist of three rounds - the Wildcard Round, the Grand Final Qualifying Round, and the Grand Final.

‍

We appreciate everyone's patience while we sort out all of the custom races. As this is the first season we want to ensure everything runs smoothly, and we'll be making a lot of adjustments to the next season to ensure a much quicker turnaround time.

We can’t wait to see who our champions are after six heats of intense racing. Good luck if you have horses involved!

Season 1

‍

The question on everyone’s lips now is what will Season 1 look like? Well, the details will all be announced soon, but we’re taking a short break to digest feedback and work out the most effective changes we can make. We want Season 1 to be bigger and better, and remove some of the pain points that become clear in Season Zero. But, hey, that’s why we run a season zero!

If you have feedback on Season Zero, or suggestions for changes you’d like to see for Season 1, then let us know in the feedback channel in Discord!

We’ll keep you updated with all the changes, as well as the start date for Season 1. Rest assured, it won’t be too long a wait.

Next Maiden

‍

The next Maiden is coming! Put it in your diaries - Saturday, June 1 UTC is when the fun begins. At time of writing the prize pool is at over $50,000 USD, and it will keep going up as we get closer, so it’s shaping up to be an exciting event!

‍

We’re also thinking a lot about the Maiden format and possible changes. One option we want to get the community’s opinion on is the following:

<21 races conditional Sit & Go qualifiers

‍

3 rounds / 12-gates / All 12 progress (12 horses total)

‍

Formula Z, sum of best 9 scoring

‍

The main benefit of this format is a reduction in grind - by entering a single SnG you’ll be completing three of your qualifying races (as every horse progresses through every round and is scored for each round). We very much want feedback on this format, so let us know what you think!

Paid Racing XP

‍

To facilitate upcoming changes to Sit & Go tournaments, we’ll be boosting the base XP for paid races. This is to encourage levelling to take place in paid races, allowing Sit & Go’s to return to what they were originally intended for - fun. This change will take place before Season 1 begins, and should allow horses bred for that season to really catapult themselves up their classes during the season.

The increase will be roughly equivalent to what can be achieved with the current Sit & Go formats, and the changes to Sit & Go tournaments described below will no longer offer the big XP multipliers of the past. This means you can level your horses up in paid races, which is particularly useful for those competing in the seasons formats!

Sit & Go Changes

We want to make Sit & Go tournaments fun again, bringing them back to their roots as a place to experience the thrill of tournaments without the need to qualify. With that in mind, and in the context of the paid racing XP changes, we’ll be removing the current SnGs from the lobby and replacing them with some new formats, likely starting with:
