Season 9's New Tournament Twist Cranks Up the Heat
The track’s set to light up again as ZED RUN rolls out Season 9 next week, and this time, there’s a spicy new tournament format in the mix. Introducing ‘Open Moments’ where two surprise races per class (1-3) and distance funnel (at finals distance) will populate, but there’s a catch—they won’t tell you when!
Entry fees increase daily, so be ready to hop in at the right moment. It’s all about prize money: the more you earn, the higher you score. The stakes are high with only 12 qualifiers per class, so it’s time to bring your A-game.

$50k Maiden Stakes: Two Week Showdown of Rising Stars in Season 9
The Maiden races are also shaking things up. After testing split schedules last season with some interesting results, we want to explore further. The Maidens action will be spread over two weeks, dedicating the first week to Class 1 events.
Why? It’s all about creating more room for new blood on the track, with a juicy USD 50,000 of WETH up for grabs across the various classes. The goal is to reflect some of the ZEDx excitement of constant action for new horses diving into racing and keep breeding running all throughout the season so we see more new horses on the track every day.
Rounds / Gates / Advancers (Total Qualifiers) for the various Maidens:
Class 1s: 2 / 12 / 2 (72)
Class 2: 3 / 12 / 3 (192)
Class 3: 3 / 12 / 4 (108)
Class 4: 4 / 12 / 6 (96)
Class 5: 2 / 12 / 3 (48)
Class 6: 2 / 12 / 6 (24)
